Another variety that grows well here, with a similar nutty, creamy flavour to the Uchiki Kuri. The thicker skin means they keep for longer, but they can be tricky to cut through. Some customers find it easier to cook them briefly first to soften the skin.
These are absolute whoppers, weighing in at 4kg or more, and are priced accordingly!
